Urticaria is a disease associated with activation of mast cells and basophils. Appearing as a frequent and interdisciplinary clinical problem of unclear ethiopathogenesis, it brings major diagnostic as well as therapeutic problems. So far most of the evidence available points to the role of autoaggressive phenomena. Infections, pseudoallergens and some other factors are listed among those responsible for the release/intensification of the symptoms.
