The 5th School of Clinical Immunology: Progress in Education in Clinical Immunology December 13-15, 2007 34-500 Zakopane, Nosalowy Dwór, Balzera 21d, Poland

The 5th School of Clinical Immunology will be organized in Zakopane. It is our tradition to invite young immunologists interested in clinical immunology from entire Europe to spend time together. The meeting gives an opportunity to listen to the lectures of an experts in immunology from all Europe. It also creates the forum to discuss difficult cases and diagnostic and therapeutic problems.

The School of Clinical Immunology has been a great success so far. It has been organized every year since 2002, and supported by European Union grants: PERFECT QLG1--CT-2002-90358 2002-2005; EURO-PID-NAS, 2002-2004 and EURO-POLICY-PID SP23-CT-2005-006411, 2005-2008.

It is my pleasure to invite you once more to Zakopane. The leading topic of the meeting is standardising of diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines in primary immunodeficiencies and standardization of flow cytometric immunophenotyping methods for PID

The contribution in the meeting announced Prof. Teresa Espanol from Institute Catala de la Salut, Barcelona, Prof. Jacques J. van Dongen and Dr Gert-Jan van Driessen from Erasmus University, Rotterdam. One of the session will be dedicated to diagnostics and therapeutics standards in chosen primary immunodeficiency diseases. Time for presentations of patients with unusual features of primary immunodeficiencies will

be also reserved during the next session. Young immunologists are invited to present their own experience concerning the diagnostic and treatment problems of paediatric primary immunodeficiencies.

I hope that you will be able to take the advantage of your time and enjoy with us the magic time before Christmas in Zakopane, and also to find some time for a skiing. More information: oddzial.immunologia@czd.pl
