Introduction
Defecation is an everyday activity that is connected with huge pressure on the abdominal cavity. It has a decisive influence on the lumbosacral spine to keep its proper functions. Assume that during this everyday activity, the spine is used erratically. It would mean that the spine is overstrained almost 30 000 times (6500 h) in an average lifespan. The sections that are at the biggest risk are L3-L4, L4-L5 and L5-S1. It would explain the enormous statistic number of spinal disc herniation in those sections. The aim of this article is to prove that in tuck position the lumbosacral spine is losing its anatomical shape. Aim. Confirmation of the assumption that in the crouching position, the spine, especially the lumbar section, loses its anatomical shape. Results Based on the obtained measurement results, it can be concluded that in the crouching position on the toilet in the L3-L4 segment, the vertebrae come closer in the abdominal part and away in the dorsal part, while the height of the intervertebral foramen increases in both patients. Conclusions Crouching position during defecation is not a natural position. In the X-ray image, the skeletal system differs from the anatomical norm of the human movement system. keywords:
