PlumX metrics:
Burns are classified as injuries that affect not only the state of the body’s coatings, but also result in systemic changes through a negative effect on the operation of individual systems. Treatment of burn patients is a difficult and responsible task. The nurse’s role is to take a number of actions, which include identifying and solving nursing problems, participating in therapy and preventing complications, as well as extensive education and psychological support. Her involvement in the therapeutic process plays an important role for the success of the entire treatment process.
