Dear Colleagues,

This is the second edition of Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques after the changes. We are working in full swing; almost each manuscript submitted in the new system is reviewed three times by members of the new panel of experts. We also significantly shortened the evaluation period of a single article. Now it is an average of 5 weeks from the time you send your work. An increasing number of authors are doctors from other countries, especially from southern and far eastern Europe. We enjoy it because we have become in some way a bridge between their world and the West. In this issue you will find as usual a wide range of problems related to minimally invasive medicine. This time leading topics are miniinvasive surgery of the elderly and bariatric surgery. We also included two cardiac surgery papers. Still, we are waiting for a wider response to our competition for the Polish Surgeons Society (TChP) Congress in Kraków, which has the chance to become the first step in the careers of young doctors: https://www.termedia.pl/Journal/Wideochirurgia_i_inne_techniki_maloinwazyjne_Videosurgery_and_Other_Miniinvasive_Techniques-42 Young scientists are also encouraged to take up our second, permanent challenge of the review papers: “Surgical Education”. See the Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques website. In the near future, we will have the opportunity to meet during the great event for surgeons in Krakow. Together with the Board of the Videosurgery Section of TChP, we are organizing a session on minimally invasive surgery. We cordially invite you. There will be an opportunity to talk not only about scientific topics. I would also like to share with you the “secrets” of our editorial team. Meanwhile, due to the upcoming vacation I wish you, all very busy surgeons, great weather, joy and long rest.
