Dear Friends,

The pandemic persists, although the first signs of optimism appeared when the first vaccine hit the market. I believe that this invention, one of the greatest in modern medicine, will bring us closer to the normality we remember before 2020.
“Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” is working at full speed despite all the epidemiological limitations. We are glad that the manuscripts we receive have more and more impact on modern medical science. We publish more and more papers of the highest scientific value. We hope that meta-analyses will soon become a permanent element of each “Videosurgery and Other Miniinvasive Techniques” issue. And this first issue is unique as in every year, because it contains as many as 35 valuable publications. You will find a very comprehensive section on General Surgery here. There are particularly interesting works on endoscopic procedures, liver surgery and, as usual, works on education in miniinvasive surgery. As many as 4 papers are reviews and meta-analyses, carrying a particularly valuable source of scientific data in clinical surgery.
As usual, the issue includes numerous works from other surgical specializations. There are 3 publications on vascular surgery, which are quite rare in our pages. There are several works in the field of other specialties, but here, due to the nature of the journal, we have temporarily limited the acceptance of articles for publication. We are waiting for your next articles. Please, remember about our journal Videosurgery when creating lists of references for your papers. After all, in this way we can emphasize the importance of the research of our authors for the development of modern medicine.
And wishing you all the best for the New Year, we wait for normal times, believing they are getting closer and closer.

Kind regards
Prof. Jacek Szeliga
