In the constant pursuit of solutions to provide not only faster but also better treatment, we are in an ongoing race between technology (which gives us solutions and tools) and concept (which gives us the idea of how to treat). On the one hand, technology offers us more and more options, yet on the other hand, it is the idea, the concept, that seems to be the key to successful treatment. It is good to have tools that in addition to being instruments, are a constant driver for exploration, new applications, ideas. This is what negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is all about. Still young in spirit and with fresh solutions but gaining in maturity with experience and technical solutions. So, it’s a good thing it exists. Because if it didn't, it would have to be invented J.
