The principles of keeping, sharing and archiving medical records are currently specified in the Patient Rights and Patient Rights Law and the Regulation of the Minister of Health regarding “medical documentation”. Medical records may be kept in a classical or electronic form. The basis for the provision of any health service, including allergen immunotherapy, is the patient’s or his representative’s statutory informed consent. Consent to activities falling within the scope of allergen immunotherapy should be in writing. In addition, all activities related to the keeping of medical records and the collection of consent from the entity’s entitlement must meet the conditions of the EU regulation on the protection of personal data.
