Granular cell tumour (GCT), also known as Abrikossoff’s tumour, is in most cases a benign neoplasm occurring in soft tissues. In the oral cavity it is usually located in the body of the tongue on its dorsal or lateral, rarely ventral surface, as well as on the hard and soft palate. The aims of this paper are both histological and immunohistochemical analysis of GCT, as well as reports of two cases from the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Medical University of Gdansk.
