The authors characterize the practical arrangements for first aid in the most common eye injuries in mechanical, chemical, thermal and radiant energy. Aid effectiveness depends on the type of injury, the time elapsed since the incident, the victim’s way of testing and understood actions. First of all, you should not unnecessarily interfere with the sustained trauma, and only properly rinse the area and protect the damaged eye. In the case of chemical injury the most important is time and efficiency of chemical leaching. There is a need for practical training of nurses (and midwives)in terms of first aid of the eye injuries.
