Decubitus ulcers are a significant challenge for health care professionals. The growing number of these wounds leads to higher hospitalization costs; thus, doctors and nurses should make great efforts to treat the wounds in surgical ambulatories or the domestic environment. One element that makes the healing process faster is negative-pressure wound therapy. The article presents a case of healing a giant sacral decubitus ulcer with the help of negative-pressure wound therapy in a domestic environment.
