are an important challenge in the treatment of chronic respiratory disorders. It has been established that there are different reasons for noncompliance and that the reasons are not always clearly understood. Methods proposed to improve compliance are multiple: patient education, partnership care, less frequent dosing, simple schedules. Noncompliance in for example asthma and COPD is well confirmed and patient care can be improved specially by an effective physician-patient relationship.
