The treatment of cancer pain can involve multiple modalities among them pharmacotherapy and/or interventional techniques. The regional nerve block techniques are an attractive option for poorly controlled by systemic analgesics cancer pain, particularly when is neuropathic in nature. They can have diagnostic and therapeutic value. Diagnostic nerve blocks identify the anatomic source of pain. Application is less frequent than in noncancer pain or in acute pain. These procedures should allow patients to lower drug dosages and thereby reduce side effects, or to experience better pain relief. The best responses are when blocks are performed in early stage of diseases. Some of techniques were described along with cancer-related symptoms and management.
