The authors describe the case of a 58-year-old woman treated in the ENT Department of Poznań University of Medical Sciences because of frontal sinus purulent inflammation caused by chronic osteomyelitis of frontal bone. The patient had previous craniotomy with excision of a tumour of the left orbit and left eyeball enucleation. After that treatment the symptoms of osteomyelitis of frontal bone occurred so the operation of left frontal and ethmoid sinus was performed. The inflammation of the bone caused deformation of the frontal area and disturbed the ventilation and drainage of the frontal sinus, leading to purulent inflammation which caused severe pain.
