Objectives.
Multiple sclerosis is the most common inflammatory-demyelinating disease of the CNS and the most common cause of disability among young people. The individualisation of therapy leads to better treatment results and makes it possible to increase compliance, i.e., the patient’s adherence to the recommendations given. Adherence, i.e., cooperation between the patient and the doctor, is equally important. The patient has a decisive influence on the choice of treatment.

Case report.
A 27-year-old man with relapsing-remitting MS diagnosed in 2013 has been presenting with pyramidal-cerebellar syndrome since the onset of the disease. The patient underwent unsuccessful treatment with interferon beta-1a, glatiramer acetate, dimethyl fumarate, and teriflunomide. Individual treatments were discontinued by the patient due to side effects of the drugs. The presented case report is an example of the high effectiveness of induction therapy followed by escalation treatment.

Conclusions.
The patient-doctor relationship is crucial in the treatment process.
