Cough is one of the most common symptoms encountered in the practice of doctors working with children, and it can be divided into productive and nonproductive. Productive cough helps to clear the respiratory tract, occurring mostly during infections. However, a productive cough may also be caused by other disorders. For this reason, in any case of a productive cough in a child, it is necessary to carefully examine the patient and find out the cause of this symptom. In addition to the causal treatment, the modern pharmacy offers a wide range of muco-active drugs which aid in the clearance of thick mucus from airways.
