Sjögren’s syndrome (SS) is a chronic autoimmune disease with unknown etiology histopathologically characterized by lymphocytic infiltration of exocrine glands leading to a clinical picture of dry mouth (xerostomia) and dry eyes (keratoconjunctivitis sicca). It predominantly affects middle-aged females. Chronic sinusitis (CRS) is inflammatory disease characterized by persistent symptoms including nasal inflammation, discharge, pain, anosmia, and lack of taste. Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is successful in treating CRS. Knowledge of CRS occurrence in patients with SS is limited. This study highlights an atypical case of CRS in a patient who was treated for five years unsuccessfully until her correct diagnosis of SS.
